Guidance - sheet 11 (component details)
You need to make drawings of each of the separate parts (components) of you product. If you are using the laser cutter, you will need to draw each component using 2D Design. You could use these drawings on this sheet (i.e. screen shots reduced to an appropriate size).

Alongside the drawing of each component you must include:
  • all of the dimensions (i.e. length; width/height; thickness)
  • the type of material (e.g. plywood; MDF; acrylic; etc)
  • the number of components of that type
  • the tolerance i.e. how accurate it needs to be manufactured (e.g. +/- 0.5mm; +-0.2mm)
  • the method of manufacture (e.g. hand saw; scroll saw; laser cutter; etc)

Also include images or sketches & information of the components which you are not making (e.g. screws; hinges; electrical & electronic components).
